Edgewater/Miami, Wynwood

Skirting the shore of Biscayne Bay, Edgewater is known for its luxury apartment buildings and high-rise condos lining the waterfront. Also on the bay, Margaret Pace Park has a paved trail and tennis courts, plus shady picnic areas. Shops along Biscayne Boulevard sell designer fashion and modern furniture, while dining options range from posh seafood restaurants and rustic Italian trattorias to low-key sandwich spots. Known for its many colorful murals, Wynwood is one of the city’s most happening districts. Wynwood Walls is an outdoor museum showcasing large-scale works by best-known street artists. The surrounding streets have converted warehouses housing craft breweries and funky art galleries. A hip young crowd frequents the chic clothing boutiques and the late-night bars.

Wynwood is a neighborhood in Miami, Florida. Wynwood is known for being an entertainment district, with artwork, restaurants, breweries, clothing stores, dance venues, among other retail options. Formerly an industrial district, the area is now known for the murals that cover the walls of many of the buildings. 

Edgewater is a neighborhood in MiamiFloridaUnited States, located north of Downtown and the Arts & Entertainment District, and south of Midtown and the Upper East Side.[1] It is roughly bound by North 17th Street to the south, North 37th Street to the north, the Florida East Coast Railway and East First Avenue to the west and Biscayne Bay to the east.[2]

Edgewater is primarily a residential neighborhood, with many historic early 20th century homes. The neighborhood has many high-rise residential towers to the east along Biscayne Bay, and historic homes elsewhere in the neighborhood. Since 2000, the area has grown in popularity, due to its proximity to Downtown and neighborhoods such as the Design District. Recent developments in the neighborhood have brought rapid urbanization to the area, with the construction of high-rise and mid-rise residential buildings, and more retail.
